We welcome Francine Friedman, author of MatchdotBomb: A Midlife Journey Through Internet Dating.
Francine writes: "This story is true. It is my story, and although the fellow travelers with whom I shared my journey are real, I am sure the colors of their characters became more vivid with my memory. Obviously, I have changed their names and identifying details and have altered even my memories to protect the people of whom my recollections remain pure.
There are 78 million baby boomers in this country, more than 89 million single adults, and over one-third of all the dates in the United States are generated online. I never thought that I would become a member of that triple statistic simultaneously.
The trip taught me a lot: Be open to new adventures; respect other voyagers; leave previous passengers behind; and stow your baggage at the back door. For these valuable lessons and countless other travel tips, I thank the wayfarers I met along the road."

We are pleased to welcome local author Jenny Moss, as she celebrates the debut of her newest novel, Shadow, a wonderful new fantasy for grades 6 and up.
Long ago, in a kingdom far away, it was prophesied at her birth that the queen would die before her sixteenth birthday. So Shadow, an orphan girl the same age as the young queen, was given the duty to watch her every move. And as prophesies do tend to come true, the queen is poisoned days before her birthday. When the castle is thrown into chaos, Shadow escapes with a young knight, whom she believes was in love with the queen.
Unsure of why she is following Sir Kenway, but determined to escape as far away as possible from the castle, her longtime prison, Shadow sets off on an adventure with the handsome knight who has been charged with protecting her. As the mystery builds, and the romantic tension does, too, Shadow begins to wonder what her role in the kingdom truly is. Soon, she learns, it is up to her to save her land.
