Leila Meacham is a writer and former teacher who lives in San Antonio, Texas. She is the author of the bestselling novel Roses.

Taylor Stevens is the New York Times bestselling author of The Informationist. The first novel featuring Vanessa Michael Munroe, it received critical acclaim and has been published in seventeen other countries. Raised in communes across the globe and denied an education beyond the sixth grade, Stevens broke free of the Children of God and now lives in Texas. She is at work on a third Munroe novel.

John DeMers was born in New Orleans and has spent the past 30 years traveling in the Caribbean, feeling a certain kinship between his hometown and the Afro-French-Spanish world he has claimed as his spiritual home. His 37 published books include titles such as Caribbean Cooking, The Food of Jamaica and Caribbean Desserts. Together John and Dominique Macquet are the authors of the nationally successful Dominique's Fresh Flavors. For several years, John DeMers served as editor of Texas Foodlover magazine. Today he lives in Houston and concentrates on his weekly food and wine radio show, Delicious Mischief. A longtime reporter and editor for United Press International, John has written from 136 foreign countries.

Stephanie Jaye Evans is the daughter of a trailblazing Church of Christ minister and the great-granddaughter of a circuit-riding preacher. She and her husband live in Sugar Land, Texas, and have seven grown children and two badly behaved pugs. This is her first book.

During her childhood, Crystal Allen's parents and older brother worked in bowling alleys, so lucky Crystal spent many hours on the lanes, bowling for free. When she was seven, she won her first trophy: a bowling-pin bank filled with pennies! Since then, she's joined several bowling leagues and loves to bowl with family and friends. Crystal lives in Sugar Land, Texas, with her husband, Reggie, and two sons, Phillip and Joshua. How Lamar's Bad Prank Won a Bubba-Sized Trophy is her first novel.
